As we close out 2024 and look ahead to 2025, we thought we’d share a glimpse of what’s fueling us as a team. This list is collaborative—an assortment of what we’ve been consciously consuming, using, and leaning on to stay inspired, organized, and occasionally sane.
Here’s a slice of what we’re all listening to, reading, and recommending for the year ahead.
1. Podcasts
- “Diary of a CEO” by Steven Bartlett: Honest conversations and sharp business insights. Ideal for when you want to learn something but also need to multitask.
- “The Marketing Millennials”: Equal parts humor and actionable advice for marketers who prefer their strategy with a side of sarcasm.
2. Playlists
This year, our Spotify habits are as varied as our workdays:
- “Morning Coffee” on Spotify: An easy, melodic start to the day when you’re not quite ready to dive into emails.
- “Work Flow” on Spotify: Perfect for head-down focus with instrumental, low-fi, and beats that keep you in the zone without intruding.
- On repeat: Charli XCX, Chappell Roan, and Fleetwood Mac. If it’s catchy, danceable, or slightly nostalgic, it’s a go.
- Seasonal staples: “Rumours” by Fleetwood Mac for calm focus, “Pop 2” by Charli XCX when we need a creative boost, and “Naked in North America” by Chappell Roan for sheer joy.
3. Resources
- Strategy Templates from Joos Digital: For content calendars, marketing templates, and more—all designed to take some of the pain out of planning.
- HubSpot Academy: A free way to brush up on marketing, sales, or strategy skills when you feel like leveling up.
4. Books
- “Steal Like an Artist” by Austin Kleon: A short read on unlocking creativity by reimagining inspiration from others.
- “Atomic Habits” by James Clear: Because a little structure never hurt anyone—especially if you’re juggling multiple projects at once.
5. Tools
- Sked Social: We rely on this for social media scheduling and performance tracking. It’s simple, efficient, and saves us a ton of time.
- Monday.com: A lifeline for keeping our projects moving. Think to-do lists with actual accountability.
6. Practices
- Unpolished Content Creation: Audiences want authenticity, not perfection, and we’re fully embracing that in 2025. If you’re looking to create content that feels more real, check out our content creation services.
- Taking Breaks That Count: Stepping away from screens isn’t just encouraged; it’s mandatory around here. The irony of listing this on a digital marketing blog is not lost on us.
And That’s the List
This is a snapshot of what’s keeping us inspired, productive, and entertained as we head into 2025. It’s not definitive or exhaustive, but it’s working for us. Hopefully, you find something here that works for you too—or at the very least, keeps you distracted for a little while.
We’ll see you in 2025 (or whenever your inbox feels less chaotic).
